Our bread and butter over the last 7 months has been making connections between founders, VCs, angels, developers, and advisors. We're always excited to see what people are looking for when they reply to our newsletter.
We've become increasingly aware of how invaluable this service is. A user seldom knows exactly who best to talk to next. Perhaps the next best startup prospect for a deep-tech VC has a quiet founder, reading The Tech Buzz in her living room. Or, perhaps a commercial real estate developer is in desperate need of a local county inspector's data—but neither of them realize it.
Serendipity
Facilitating valuable interpersonal connections is something we're (humbly) incredible at, and our vision is to take this to the limit.
We're working on Project Serendipity: our way of asynchronously connecting community members who most need it but least know it. The technology will be powered by machine learning matching models we've trained and used for other products under Standard's umbrella.
Think of the last time you got off the phone with someone and thought, "that was fantastic, this guy is the man!" Now, imagine one of those conversations, mutually agreed upon, delivered to you every week.
